One walk in Downtown Cairo with Moe, one mosque speaker, and one LED bulb later — and we got Call to Light. A converted Ahuja mosque microphone horn, now a spotlight, now a sculptural conversation piece. What once carried sound now carries light — loudly.
It still looks like it might shout Allahu Akbar or el taxi gaha, but instead it beams a focused glow. It’s nostalgic, absurd, and striking — an object with cultural memory, recharged for interior storytelling.
Function tip: Use it as a directional floor lamp, wall-mounted sconce, or set it on a console and point it like you mean it.
Aesthetic tip: Contrast it with plush textiles or classical details — think dome meets disco.
Design note: Industrial reuse at its best. It didn’t lose its voice — just got a new one.
